Easier changing directory in Terminal for Mac OS X using rupa/z
In Terminal doing this sucks:
1 | cd this/is/the/path/i/want/to/get/to/and/its/quite/long |
Using github.com/rupa/z allows you to do this:
1 | z long |
to go directly to the path you wish.
It does this using 'frecency'.
Frecency is a portmantaeu of 'recent' and 'frequency'. It is a weighted rank that depends on how often and how recently something occured. As far as I know, Mozilla came up with the term.
I had a bit of trouble initially setting it up, but soon got a response from Rupa and he kindly added some notes on the wiki section to help out us Mac OS X users.

Enjoy
