CodePen Theme Challenge
Have dabbled about a bit in CodePen and saw @chriscoyier, send this tweet out:

So thought I'd have a closer look!
Forked the pen and had a play about with it and, well, here it is :)
Updated slightly with some border-radius <3.

To take this a step further I'd look at making the 3 less important stories into a nice slideshow.
