There's so much awesome on the web right now, I'm thinking we have a day event to showcase the best bits, sound good? Please read on…
Pretty much every day I'll get passed a link.
Before clicking the link I have no idea what it might be. Every time clicking a link, triggers off an immediate reaction. It's amazing. The variety, the originality, the innovation of what people are doing on the web and continuing to push forward all the time.
I think back a few years ago in comparison to what we have today…
Google Chrome experiments that link devices together, real time code sharing, 3d animations, face detection, the list goes on and on and on.
I was talking about this with @davecunningham and he said:
You should do an event!
So let's do this right?
I'm thinking a day event in Manchester, (or maybe even a weekend) where there's a room or two with various devices showcasing the best of the web.
Laptops, big screens, kinect, leap motion, web cams, oculus rift, tablets, mobiles.
The rooms are open to the public, people can come and go as they please and we have volunteers to help guide the public around if they need any help.
Perhaps we could also throw in a few short talks, or people showcasing what they've been up to.
The audience should be everyone! From developers, business owners, people looking for inspiration, to family's and kids interested in this ever growing world of awesomeness.
So where do we go from here?
I'm going to send out a few emails to people I know who might be able to help out.
I'm going to potentially need some volunteers to help out at the event, if that's you, please get in touch!
If you have any thoughts on this, please comment below, I'd love to hear from you.
Let's do this… #MCRTOP5
