Interesting issue that cropped up whilst I was using a css gradient in Chrome.
I've set a css gradient, then when I open another application over it, in the example below I clicked the wi-fi dropdown (mac os x) and the gradient colours change where the application is. The same happened when I opened the Twitter app over it.
By refreshing or interacting with the page the gradient returns to its normal state.
