On the 19th May 2015 @upfrontconf was born. With myself and help from Dan, Jack, Rachel and Katie we created a conference that sold out, received much praise and we ended up trending on Twitter in the UK. It was hard work, but with so much positive feedback we were able to create a side event.
Thanks again to everyone who came and supported #upfrontmini.
We believed in creating something more accessible for the community from both a speaker and attendee stand point. Perhaps not everyone attending had heard of all the speakers. Some might have had second thoughts about a talk regarding what it's like to be a young developer today. We're extremely glad that you joined us in allowing this to happen.
Here's some highlights from the day and below is further information including an excellent set of photos from @gazraa, slides and other blog posts.

Great points raised in QA sesh regarding age discrimination. I'm proud to see so much support in our industry for young coders #upfrontmini— indiespring (@indiespring) October 6, 2015
So many fantastic responses from my talk earlier today @upfrontconf. I feel like a conversation has begun - let’s hope a change is made too— Benjamin Hollway (@benjaminhollway) October 6, 2015
